The following application is for a condition commonly known as ‘Plantar Fasciitis’. The plantar fascia is a thickened band of connective tissue that runs along the base of the foot from the heel to the toes. Pain is commonly felt near the fibrous attachments to the calcaneal lip, but may also be felt anywhere along the plantar fascia. The condition is considered to be both common as well as misrepresented due to the varying places where one may experience pain in the foot. When applying this application, it is always important to consider the surrounding tissues that may also become impacted when someone is experiencing foot pain such as this. That is why you will see a variety of application methods for this condition.

The following application is for a mild case of plantar fasciitis with some additional assistance offered to the tibialis anterior muscle to assist in stabilizing the arch. Look out for some other applications that we will be posting that can also be effective when treating this type of case.

The most important thing to to keep in mind is that the best remedy for this condition is rest. Knowing that it may be difficult to have the patient rest their feet for a prolonged period of time, this application will be of significant value to them.
